The blue background adds some flavor to the work, and the contrast between the blue and the other colors in the painting makes the work more visually appealing. Against the blue background, the white flowers look fuller and more alive, the green looks softer amidst the blue, and the white flowers are the first protagonists. The yellow bird standing on the tree trunk becomes a charming point.
