The delicate and perfectly round moon in the painting is a tribute to Owen’s mentor - LIU Kuo-sung. Liu has huge influence on Owen, as Liu has always emphasized on creating individual style, and you can see a big part of the source of light coming from external, especially on the top right handside of the painting, which is what Owen’s great at creating in his artworks.
